Long Story Short

by David Dietl

From the producers of "THE LIVES OF OTHERS" comes a highly emotional feel-good comedy, reminiscent of "FOUR WEDDINGS AND A FUNERAL".

Ten friends, three years, seven parties: When Ellen attends her best friends' New Year's Eve party in 2019, she's keeping a secret. She is having an affair with Sebastian, whom she believes to be her great love. However, he is married to Eva and naturally wants to keep it under wraps. There's a spark between Rolf and Dina. There's tension between Mareike and Adam. Maya longs for children, and Natalie can't make up her mind. Then Max shows up. He would love Ellen if only she would let him. Years pass, and parties are celebrated as they come. There is love, arguments, laughter, and weddings. Children are born, people find each other while others separate. Finally, fate serves as a reminder: Life must be lived intensely, with the best of friends and ideally in every single moment!
